25th April 2008 I'm sorry to have to disappear again, I really am. But something happened and I won't be able to do any work on this site for a while. I really do apologise for messing you all about; I had no idea that things would get so bad. For those wondering, please read this Livejournal entry. It's the situation in a nutshell; obviously there's much more to it than what the entry says. I feel embarrassed to admit that something like that could cause me to want to stay away from my sites for a while, but unfortunately I can't help being so affected and my interest in icon designing has been snuffed out again. Sorry again, and I'll see you all again soon.

23rd March 2008 Guess who's back? Shady's back. After almost 2 months of being on hiatus, I have finally returned, personal problems now (largely) in the past. I apolgise that I disappeared for a while but my sites weren't my first priority a couple of months ago. I figured a break was in order and I feel better now. So it means I can continue to operate this site and make some graphics, etc for you all :)

I didn't do anything to the site since I was away, but prior to reopening, I made some small revisions to all of the pages on the site. You won't really notice the changes but they do make the site just that little better. I haven't made any new layouts for the site and don't plan to for a while, since I don't yet want to replace this layout. It still has some life in it yet. Apologies to everyone who expected a new layout with a grand return XD;

I added 8 new icons. And that's all. As I said, I did absolutely nothing in regards to this site since I was away. The new icons were made over the past couple of days; it had been a good month-and-a-bit since I made any icons at all. I hope you all like them; they're not that terrible XD

A tutorial was also added. I wrote it ages ago but never added it since I wanted to add it along with 2 others I had in the making. Those other two won't be coming for a while so I figured I might as well add the completed one in the mean time. It teaches a basic method of making torn paper borders on graphics; an effect I like to use frequently for my icons.

I wonder if anybody remembers my promise for a contest? XD Yeah, that didn't go according to plan. HOWEVER, lost-hopeNET's 2nd birthday (and possible demise if I can't borrow a PayPal account to pay my renewal in time *gulp*) is on the 13th April. If the network is still around (which I HOPE it will be), I might do a small contest. There won't be any big prizes I'm afraid since I'm skint, despite landing myself a job a few weeks ago. Still, you never know, I might be able to russle up a small monetary prize by then.

I'm confident I'll be able to renew the domain in time. I plan to do so this coming Wednesday. Or by Friday. Considering I still have two weeks before the domain expires, I think I'll just about make it.

Anyway, thanks for bearing with me since I've been away. I hope to update again soon with more graphics (the FO signs page could do with some more content) and quite possibly a contest if I get my act together. Enjoy the new icons :)
