Brief History

Spiffing used to be on Livejournal and was established around February 23rd 2006. It was moved over to the lost-hope network on October 6th 2006 because it was easier for me to manage. The site is an icon and icon resource site, which aims to provide icons and resources to people, regardless of whether they use the icons on LJ or not. Spiffing has always been and always will be owned by me, Beatrix.

Site Purpose

My goal is to provide free icons (largely anime/manga) to a wide range of people on the Internet for use on websites, forums, Livejournal, Greatestjournal and many other sites/blogs. I aim for each graphic to stay untainted by watermarks and only ask in return for a small credit link somewhere locatable on the website in which the graphic is used. In addition to graphics, I also aim to provide useable resources that can be used by others to enhance their own graphics. Again, all I ask for is a small credit link in return.

Current Layout

I haven't made an aged-looking layout like this in ages. In fact, I don't know if I even have done this style before. I was very surprised when this layout turned out looking good. I assumed that it would turn out like all of my other attempts at a layout; crap, to put it bluntly XD I had no idea what I wanted the layout to look like and instead just made it up as I went along. The more I added to it, the better it looked. Eventually I managed to come up with something that I could bear staring at for a long time without wanting to chuck it out the window. I'm glad it turned out looking good, and I hope to keep it up for as long as possible.
